3-11-18 Today’s KJV Scripture John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that
He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in Him, should not perish, but have
everlasting life.

Note: This is one of my favorite passages, taught to me by my Grandmother beginning when I was learning to talk.

3-5-18 Today’s Scripture John 14:1-4 New International Version (NIV)

1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

2-25-18 Today’s Scripture Mark 8:31

He then began to teach them that the Son of Man
must suffer many things and be rejected by the
elders, the chief priests, and the teachers of the law,
and that He must be killed and after three days rise

2-20-18 Today’s Scripture Matthew 5:43-48

43 You have heard that it was said, “Love your neighbor.”
44 And I tell you, “Love your enemies and pray for those that persecute you,
45 that you may be the children of our Father in Heaven. He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46 If you love those who love you, what reward should you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?
47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
48 Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.

2-11-18 Today’s Scripture Mark 9:2-9

2 After 6 days Jesus took Peter, James and John with Him, and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There He was transfigured before them.
3 His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.
4 and there appeared before them Elijah and Moses who were talking with Jesus.
5 Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters-one for You, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”
6 (he did not know what to say, they were so frightened.)
7 Than a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is My Son, whom I love. Listen to Him!”
8 Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus.
9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone what they have seen until the Son of man has risen from the dead.

2-6-18 Today’s NIV Scripture 1 Peter 3:15

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.
Always be prepared to give an answer to
everyone who asks you to give a reason for
the hope that you have. But do this with
gentleness and respect.

1-27-18 Today’s Scripture: John 3:16-17 (KJV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

1-15-18 Today’s NIV scripture: Romans 1:16-17

For I am not ashamed of
the Gospel, because it is the power of God
that brings salvation to everyone who believes,
first to the Jew, then to the Gentile, 17for in the
Gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed-
a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,
just as it is written: “The righteous will live by

Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi
from the east came to Jerusalem and asked,
“Where is the one who has been born King
of the Jews? We saw His star when it rose

About Farm Country Gospel Music

Farm Country Gospel Music (fcgmusic) was founded in 1997, as the banner to be used to promote the first Gospel music album written and produced by and produced by Don Cooper. The name was devised to how Don’s love for farm life as well as music, and especially Gospel oriented music. Our mission statement is:

“Dedicated to the glory of Jesus Christ and God’s true word the Holy Bible.”

Since that very first album “He Gave Us Jesus”, a second album, “Jesus Is The Only Way To Heaven”, has been produced, Don has pursued an interest in writing poetry. Poetry is a natural progression from song writing. Song lyrics consist of poetry in their own right. Don is somewhat embarrassed to write Gospel music when there are already so many wonderful songs which he loves to sing and enjoy, written by other great song writers.

Some of Don’s poetry has been combined with photos taken on his digital camera. He has also written a book, “From The Heart Of An Old Farmer”, which is a compilation of poetry as well as lyrics from both of his albums.

A presentation of his music and poetry has been appreciated by various local groups who have enjoyed this farmer’s twist on Jesus’ presence throughout his life.

God is Awesome, Wonderful, The Alpha and The Omega! God is indeed good to all of us. Don feels that one of the most wonderful gifts God has given to him personally, is the gift of filling his mind with melodies and poetry, and prays that God allows you to receive as much enjoyment hearing and reading them as Don has had writing them.

You may listen to excerpts from Don’s music and contact him to purchase the albums on CD or cassette, or the book if you are interested.

If you like Don’s work, please remember him in your prayers. Ask the Lord to guide his writing, that it will always be pleasing to Him, and in agreement with His Will.

Thanks and God Bless,

Don and Ruth Cooper
